Sustainability is at the core of Auroora’s business and strategy and a prerequisite for long-term value creation.
Through our business, we actively promote the green transition and electrification, ensure access to clean water, and prevent the pollution of water bodies. We help industries to operate more sustainably and encourage the adoption of innovations that enhance energy and resource efficiency.
The most significant impact of Auroora’s operations is generated through the products, services, and employment opportunities provided by our subsidiaries. Through their businesses, our companies support sustainable energy production, access to clean water, and help our customers operate in a more responsible and sustainable manner.
The key sustainability themes of Auroora’s own operations relate to mitigating climate impacts, creating safe workplaces, and maintaining high standards of ethical business conduct. Our sustainability work is based on the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We have defined a sustainability roadmap that outlines the key sustainability priorities of the Auroora Group for the coming years. In line with our strategy, we will focus on developing business segments that support sustainable development and on creating continuous impact. We work systematically to reduce our climate impacts and to improve occupational health, safety, and employee well-being. In addition, we aim to identify and address other sustainability aspects that are material to our business and stakeholders.

Auroora’s business segments promote sustainable development and responsible business practices. Our objective is to generate positive impact in everything we do, and we have assessed our business operations against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Reducing climate and environmental impacts has been identified as one of Auroora’s key sustainability themes. We actively work to reduce the environmental burden of our operations and services. Our goal is to minimize our negative environmental footprint while increasing our positive environmental handprint.
In 2023, Auroora initiated an assessment of its climate impacts by mapping emissions from its own operations and purchased energy (Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions). Based on this assessment, Auroora will be able to set science-based and measurable emission reduction targets for its operations.
The Code of Conduct applies to all employees, regardless of position or type of employment. We emphasize the importance of complying with applicable laws and regulations and require our subsidiaries and affiliated companies to adhere to the same principles. These principles are also applied to our business partners, and we expect third parties to comply with them, as applicable, when acting with or on behalf of our company.

We require our entire organization and all employees to comply with the principles of the Code of Conduct and with applicable legislation in their daily work. Everyone is also expected to actively prevent misconduct and to report any suspected violations or irregularities. Observations should primarily be reported to the employee’s immediate supervisor or to the supervisor’s manager.
We also provide a confidential whistleblowing channel through which our employees and external stakeholders can report suspected misconduct.
